اعداد در زبان انگلیسی

اعداد را می توان به دو دسته اصلی تقسیم بندی کرد: اعداد اصلی Cardinal Numbers که همان اعداد معمولی هستند و اعداد ترتیبی Ordinal Numbers که ترتیب قرار گرفتن چیزی را در یک ردیف یا سـری نشان می دهد (مثلا "هفتم").

یک نکته

اعدادی که بعد از hundred می آیند، در انگلیسی بریتانیایی با and همراه می شوند ولی در انگلیسی آمریکایی معمولا and را به کار نمی برند:      British English      120 = one hundred and twenty      American English      120 = one hundred twenty
